sweet taste of summer as a 4 year old

last week was my little man's 4th birthday. went down to the t dot island and played at centreville for the day. took the rest of the week off to do nothing but enjoy the good weather and play with my little ones.

of course, nothing is better on a hot summers' day than having something cold and sweet at the end of a good 'fun day'. I can always tell how much fun they've had by how dirty they look at the end of the day =).

xavier is 4. He is a driver, shark boy, a camper and last but not least a baller. He LOVES basketball. so much that he just received his 4th basketball net from mommy and daddy. except this one is the last one on the list...he can't graduate to anything bigger. we have the table top version, the baby version, the toddler version and now the adult size (..of course, set up to 6 feet). We thought it was a phase..he's been playing since he was 9 months...i guess if it lasts for more than 3 and a half years, it can't be called a phase any longer. he always wants to play...rain or shine....so today, we will play till we just can't play anymore.

I must say...it is tiring being a kid!! Hope you had fun today...
